Experience the Olive Harvest with the Cutrera Family - Chiaramonte G.

In October, we wrap up our events dedicated to the seasonality and agro-cultural traditions of the Sicilian territory. For this occasion, the star will be the olive harvest in Chiaramonte Gulfi, a village now famous for the unmistakable quality of its extra virgin olive oil. We will be accompanied by one of the most iconic producers in the area: Frantoi Cutrera.
For decades, the Cutrera family has been producing and marketingextra virgin olive oil of the highest quality. With one of the most advanced extraction systems in the world, they now export to over 50 countries, boasting more than 700 awards and mentions in major international competitions. We will have the opportunity to witness and actively participate in the olive harvest. After a short walk through the company's historic olive groves, we will relax in the shade of the trees, savoring typical products from the Chiaramonte area. After lunch, following the path of the Cava Donnagona surrounding the estate, we will reach the mill, where we can watch the pressing of the olives harvested during the morning and taste the flavor of the oil straight "from the press." We will continue the tour through the subsequent areas of the estate to understand how the entire production chain works: from the tree to the bottle.

Fee: € 30.00 - Includes guide services, accident insurance, excursion organization, and lunch under the olive trees, just as it was done in the past, with typical products from the Chiaramonte area.

Olive harvest: approximately 4 hours + lunch under the olive trees and a walk through the olive groves of the Cava Donnagona surrounding the estate.
Loop trail: dirt road, marked and unmarked paths.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, k-way (rain jacket), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, sweater, hat, and 1.5 liters of water.
