Wine&Go Trekking - Riserva di Santo Pietro

The Bosco di Santo Pietro Nature Reserve stretches across a diverse landscape 20 km from Caltagirone. It hosts three main natural habitats: cork oak forests, holm oak forests, and scrubland. The woods are home to about fifty cork trees and numerous animal species, including porcupines, foxes, and various bird species such as the common kestrel and the great spotted woodpecker.

Participation fee

€ 55,00 – includes guides, accident insurance, excursion organization, and lunch at Azienda Vitivinicola Daino, renowned for its organic wines.
Not included: travel to/from the location.

Cancellations: by 5/12/2024. After this date, the full fee will still be required.

Azienda Vitivinicola Daino

The winery is located in Caltagirone, nestled in the greenery of the Bosco di Santo Pietro. Its 9,000 vines per hectare produce organic wines with a focus on the balance between the land and the climate.
The production philosophy of winemaker Salvo Foti is based on sustainability and respect for the environment. Traditional viticultural techniques include pruning according to lunar phases and the use of natural fertilizers.
