Iceland: Extraordinary Landscapes

A journey through the surprising and breathtaking landscapes of Iceland: volcanoes, geysers, cliffs, and rushing rivers flowing toward the sea across lush green plains. This is the raw, powerful nature of Iceland that we are going to discover.
The classic itinerary we have planned allows us to cover most of the island's perimeter, including the enchanting Westfjords region. We will enjoy easy treks to fully appreciate some of the areas we visit, with mandatory stops at thermal pools—including some lesser-known ones—while respecting local customs and traditions. Our "Discovery Iceland" will be all about immersing ourselves in a nature that leaves you stunned, sometimes even dazed by the absolute beauty it expresses. In recent years, Iceland has enjoyed global tourism success, which, so far, has not compromised its delicate environmental balance.
Logistics
Given the limited availability of accommodation, booking well in advance is necessary. We plan to use double rooms with private bathrooms. These are generally pleasant, well-maintained facilities frequented by travelers of all ages and equipped with fully functional kitchens. Traveling in Iceland at the end of summer means enjoying long daylight hours and, during the nights, having the chance to spot the Northern Lights.

Participation fee: € 2,740.00 per person.
The fee includes:

• Guide service, insurance, and excursion organization.
• Overnight stays in 3/4-star hotels in double rooms with private bathrooms, breakfast included.
• Minibus rental, related insurance, fuel, parking fees, and entrance to the Vök Baths (or similar) thermal waters.

The fee does not include:

• Round-trip airfare to Reykjavik.
• Dinners and packed lunches.
• Drinks and extras not specified under “The fee includes”.

Optional extras:

• Whale watching boat trip: € 90.00 (online booking mandatory, to be confirmed upon registration).
• Additional entrance fees for other thermal baths.

Booking and payment methods

• Deposit: € 500.00 upon registration (no later than March 15th, 2025).
• Balance: € 2,240.00 to be paid 30 days before departure.

Meeting point and flights

• August 28th, 2025 at 05:00 AM: Meeting at Milano Malpensa airport.
• August 27th, 2025 at 11:45 AM: Early meeting for those departing from Catania airport.

Round-trip flights cost approximately € 460.00 (including a 10 kg trolley and a small backpack/bag).
Flight routes and times will be communicated upon trip confirmation.

End of the trip

• September 7th, 2025 at 05:00 PM at Milano Malpensa airport.

Required equipment:
Before departure, a video conference briefing will be held with all participants regarding the equipment and clothing to bring.
Trekking clothing, hiking shoes, long trousers, hat, flashlight, shower sandals, swimsuit, rain jacket (k-way), sweater, winter waterproof jacket, gloves, water bottle, and personal hygiene kit.
