Snowshoeing on the Volcano

A unique experience to discover the magic of Etna in winter! With snowshoes, we will explore birch, beech, and pine forests, crossing slopes and ancient craters on the northern side. This excursion is perfect for immersing yourself in the beauty of the volcano and recharging in the fresh air, easily reaching its most spectacular spots. The route winds between the Monti Sartorius and the Rifugio Baracca.
Excursion Details

• Fee: € 35,00 (includes guide, accident insurance, snowshoe and pole rental, event organization).
  For insurance purposes, please provide: full name and tax code (codice fiscale).
• Not included: travel expenses to/from the meeting point, packed lunch.
• Travel: own car (drivers, please bring snow chains).
• Meeting point: Sunday, February 23, at 09:00 AM at the parking lot in front of the Chiesa Sant’Andrea Apostolo - Milo.

Technical Characteristics

• Route: loop, approximately 5 hours of walking.
• Difficulty: moderate.

Required Equipment

• Winter trekking clothing.
• Rain jacket, gaiters, backpack, hiking boots.
• Wool hat, gloves, sweater, windbreaker.
• 1.5 liters of water.
• For drivers: snow chains.
