Trekking in the Heart of Sicily

May 18th and 19th, 2024
A perfect approach to the “heart of Sicily,” exploring nature amidst the spring colors that surround the Enna and Caltanissetta areas. It will be a fantastic exploration on foot, traversing old mule tracks and paths with panoramic views of the rolling green hills that will serve as our constant backdrop. We will walk along sections of the old railway that once connected Leonforte to Dittaino, a remarkable feat of engineering featuring bridges and tunnels built to transport sulfur from the surrounding mines. On Sunday, the hike will take place within the Monte Capodarso and Imera Meridionale River Nature Reserve.

Fee: € 50,00 - Includes guide service, accident insurance, and organization. For insurance purposes, please kindly send us your full name and tax code (codice fiscale).
Other expenses: € 65,00 Expenses include: overnight stay in a B&B (accommodation in double and triple rooms), Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast.
Expenses do not include: fuel costs for travel, packed lunches, and any extra expenses not specified.
Deposit: € 50,00 at the time of booking.

Difficulty: Challenging
Required equipment: seasonal trekking clothing, high-cut hiking boots, summer waterproof jacket, rain poncho, flashlight, 2 liters of water, and personal toiletries.
