The Ginestre of Piano Grilli - Etna (Bronte)

Etna offers nature lovers unforgettable landscapes in every season!
The red of the sun and the black of the lava flows, combined with the colors of spring, will provide us with a photographic memory of a splendid walk on the “Mongibello”. Our walk today will be framed by blooming ginestre (broom), full of scents and colors. So, what better way to enjoy the magnificent month of June than with a high-altitude excursion? Immersed within the Etna park, our starting and ending point will be the Piano dei Grilli refuge, located in the municipality of Bronte (approx. 1,150 m altitude). This excursion, suitable for regular hikers, will feature an alternation between paths through the undergrowth and old lava flows (1763 lava). The highlights will be the passage over Monte Lepre and Monte Egitto (1,612 m altitude). The location, the history, and the typical mountain landscapes will provide the backdrop for this lovely Sunday.

Meeting point: Sunday 23/06/2024 at 07:30 AM at the Lukoil gas station, C/da Coffa – Chiaramonte Gulfi.
