Food and History - The 1st Wild Asparagus Festival and Archaeological Itinerary
The star of this weekend will be Sant’Angelo Muxaro, a village nestled on a hill with the Platani river flowing at its feet. Founded around the 16th century in an area steeped in legends and ancient history, some scholars believe it to be the site of the elusive Kamikos: the impregnable city built by the mythical architect Daedalus to repay the hospitality of the Sican king Kokalos. Thanks to the hospitality of a local guide, we offer a rich and varied itinerary covering archaeological, naturalistic, and traditional aspects.
All this is crowned by the first edition of the Sican Wild Asparagus Festival, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Tourism of the Municipality of Sant’Angelo Muxaro.

Fee: € 60,00 Includes guide services, accident insurance, and excursion organization. For insurance purposes, we kindly ask you to send us your full name and tax code (codice fiscale).
Other expenses: € 70,00 - Includes: overnight stay in a B&B or Agriturismo, Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast.
Deposit: € 60,00 at the time of booking.
Costs do not include: travel expenses to reach the meeting point, packed lunch for Saturday, entrance to the Teatro Andromeda (optional entry, cost is € 10).

Difficulty: moderate.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, backpack, hiking boots, hat, sweater, waterproof jacket, flashlight, 1.5 liters of water, and personal toiletries. We recommend arriving at the meeting point already wearing your trekking gear and ready for the hike.
