Hiking and Chestnut Picking - Etna

Join us for an exciting autumn hike on Etna, immersed in the warm colors of the season and the tradition of chestnut picking!
We will walk through ancient chestnut groves, enjoying breathtaking views and spending a day in the open air—perfect for families, nature lovers, and curious explorers of all ages. It will be an accessible hike, enriched by moments of authentic connection with nature and local traditions.
Also suitable for families with children: A perfect experience for both adults and little ones! Children can have fun picking chestnuts, exploring the trails, and learning about the natural world.
Hike Details

• Participation fee: € 25.00 for adults, € 5.00 for children (under 10 years old)
  Includes guide service, RCT insurance, and organization.
• Extra expenses: Travel to and from the meeting point is not included.

Logistics

• Meeting point: Saturday, October 26 at 09:00 AM in Milo, Via Etnea, in front of the Sant’Andrea church.

• End of hike: 05:00 PM, return to the starting point.
• Lunch: Packed lunch.
• Route: A loop of approximately 5 hours on forest tracks, mule paths, and both marked and unmarked trails.
• Difficulty: Medium-easy.

Required Equipment

• Seasonally appropriate hiking clothing
• Hiking boots
• Waterproof jacket
• Small backpack
• Rain poncho (K-way)
• 1.5 liters of water
