The trekking route we are offering is a hiking journey divided into 7 stages that winds through some of the most evocative areas of south-eastern Sicily. This journey will not be consecutive; instead, it will take place through a series of Sunday appointments during the winter season, from November to March.
The stages are designed to help you discover the beauty of the territory in a sustainable and accessible way, connecting historic cities, hilltop villages, and breathtaking natural landscapes, culminating in the splendid island of Ortigia, the ancient heart of Siracusa.

Logistics

• The stages will take place on Sundays, allowing participants to enjoy a more relaxed, non-consecutive pace during their weekly break.
• The daily distances are planned to be covered in about 5-7 hours of walking, allowing participants to finish the hikes in the afternoon.
• You can choose to participate in one or more stages.
• We will handle the organization of vehicle recovery at the end of the hike; the rental of one or more vehicles for the return to the starting point will be arranged based on the number of participants.

Stage 1: November 24th - From Ragusa Ibla to Chiaramonte Gulfi

Stage Description:

The hike begins in the heart of Ragusa Ibla, characterized by its narrow Baroque streets. We will cross the Valle San Leonardo, surrounded by dry-stone walls and lush green fields, enjoying the vibrant colors of the spring flowers.

Continuing towards Contrada Conservatore, a panorama awaits us that stretches from the Mediterranean to the northern slopes of the Etna. We will pass through Contrade San Marco and Serragrande, stopping at the Ferriero spring to refresh ourselves.

The stage ends in Chiaramonte Gulfi, in Piazza Duomo, where we can enjoy a coffee and admire the beauty of the village. A journey that combines nature, culture, and history!

Participation fee: € 20.00 – Includes guide service, accident insurance, and hike organization. To activate the insurance, please send your full name and tax code (codice fiscale).

Costs not included: Packed lunch, travel to and from the meeting point, shared cost for the rental of one or more minibuses for the return to the starting point.

Route: Approximately 7 hours, including breaks

Elevation gain: 600m ascent, 400m descent

Difficulty: Challenging

Required equipment: Trekking shoes and clothing, long trousers, hat, trekking poles, rain jacket (k-way), 2-liter water bottle.
