Iblei Crossing - From Palazzolo Acreide to Cassaro (SR)

A special trekking route through an area of remarkable natural beauty, winding through the lush vegetation typical of the cave (canyons), riverbanks, and wetlands, all framed by Mediterranean scrub. We will set off from Palazzolo Acreide, crossing the Anapo valley along the path that follows the old railway line that once connected the Iblei hinterland from Ragusa to Siracusa. A truly unique route, brimming with beauty, fantastic glimpses, and hilly landscapes. 

Fee: € 15.00 - Includes guide services, accident insurance, and excursion organization. For insurance purposes, we kindly ask you to provide your full name and tax code (codice fiscale).
The fee does not include: travel to and from the meeting point and packed lunch.

Car shuttle service back to Palazzolo Acreide will be provided by the organization.
Lunch: Packed lunch
Travel: Own car
Difficulty: Moderate.
Route: 6 hours of walking including breaks – royal sheep tracks (regie trazzere), mule tracks, marked trails, and stream crossings.
Required equipment: Trekking clothing, small backpack, rain jacket (k-way), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, sweater, 1.5 liters of water.
