Vendicari Reserve and Cantina Barone Sergio (SR)

Vendicari Nature Reserve, one of the first reserves established by the Sicily Region to protect both local flora and fauna. Inside, we will have the opportunity to visit a 15th-century watchtower and an old tuna fishery (tonnara). After Vendicari, we will head to Cantina Barone Sergio in the territory of Pachino (SR), independent winemakers with a long tradition who love to share their history and their deep connection to the land, all accompanied by a tasting of wines and local products from their own production. The vineyards stretch across the Val di Noto area, one of the most ideal regions for cultivating Nero d’Avola. From there, we will move on to Marzamemi, an ancient fishing village in the Val di Noto, now a dreamlike destination known for its colorful buildings overlooking the central square.

Fee: € 40.00 - Includes guide services , accident insurance, excursion organization, and a tasting of wines paired with local products at the Barone Sergio winery. For insurance purposes, please kindly send us your full name and tax code (codice fiscale).
Not included: fuel costs for travel.

Difficulty: easy
Route: 4 hours of walking including breaks – Forest track, marked trail.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, windbreaker/rain jacket, trekking boots , hat, sweater, 1.5 liters of water.
