Beyond the Iblei - 3rd Stage: Grammichele - Mineo

A journey spanning seven stages over four months, designed to give everyone the chance to join us so that no one misses out.

Today, we will discover places that are distant from one another yet united by history, traditions, and nature. Our route today will be a continuous layering of hilly vistas, forests, clay zones, and volcanic basalt. Starting from Grammichele, after a delightful urban walk to immerse ourselves in the town's history, we will head out into the countryside to join a typical trazzera (ancient rural path) of the Iblei landscape. We will head towards the Bosco di Marineo, passing beneath Monte Calvario. This area is characterized by majestic eucalyptus trees, which give the place the feeling of a soft green cushion. After our lunch break and a pleasant hike through the undergrowth, our final destination will be Mineo. This place is the perfect spot to wrap up a splendid day.

The fee does not include: travel to and from the meeting point.

Itinerary: marked and unmarked trails, forest tracks, and trazzere.
Travel: own car.
Difficulty: Moderate.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, hiking boots, trekking poles, hat, sweater, waterproof jacket, and 1.5 liters of water.
