Canyoning - The Beauty of Calcinara - Pantalica (SR)

Our ascent begins where the crystal-clear waters of the Calcinara stream flow into the Anapo river. The stream has an average depth of 90 cm, allowing for an aquatic trekking experience where, at times, you will need to know how to swim due to pools that are 2-3 meters deep. Small, easily surmountable waterfalls increase oxygenation, supporting extraordinary ecological indicators like the river crab and trout. The characteristic vegetation enriches this inimitable natural spectacle with scents and colors. The route offers an extra thrill when it allows us to enter the Galermi aqueduct.

Expenses do not include: travel to and from the meeting point.

Loop trail: approximately 6 hours of walking (including swimming breaks), 180m elevation gain. The trail passes through rugged areas with brambles and the stream bed.
Travel: use of your own car

Difficulty: moderate
Required equipment: trekking clothing, waterproof backpack, hiking boots, hat, closed-toe water shoes, a wetsuit (recommended for those sensitive to cold water), swimsuit, 1.5 liters of water.
