The Necropolis of Pantalica - SR

Today's excursion is one of the most fascinating in the Iblei area from an archaeological perspective. We find ourselves in the heart of Pantalica, which, beyond being one of the most important Nature Reserves in Sicily, is also one of the world's most significant archaeological sites from the Sicel period (with approximately 5,000 tombs) and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005.

Difficulty: Moderate.
Loop trail: 6 hours of walking including breaks – royal sheep tracks (regie trazzere), mule tracks, marked paths, and stream crossings.
Required equipment: Trekking clothing, small backpack, rain jacket (k-way), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, sweater, 1.5 liters of water.
