4th Stage #Ibleiround: Monterosso Almo - Chiaramonte Gulfi

We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to our first #IBLEIROUND, and for this reason, we are pleased to announce that we will dedicate two days to this event, Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th, with the option to choose.
As true Siculi (Sicilians) who love our land, and in our continuous wandering through the beloved Iblei countryside, we have conceived and structured a grand loop trail across the Iblei: #ibleiround.
It will be the ideal journey to savor and enjoy first the gentle hills of the Iblei and then the small villages that populate these wonderful landscapes. In the soul of a regular hiker, “knowledge” leads to internal and external improvement: thus, the places help in this constant growth. On the journey, we will have: history, culture, traditions, nature, crafts, and wisdom… but above all, we will “live” the path. Living the journey & sharing the passion.
The trail will be carried out in 5 stages, starting from the Iblean capital, Ragusa, in January and concluding back in Ragusa in May.
4th Stage: Monterosso Almo – Chiaramonte Gulfi
In today's stage, starting from the historic center of Monterosso Almo, we will cross paths, royal sheep tracks (regie trazzere), and forest roads until we reach Chiaramonte Gulfi. The uniqueness of this adventure will be walking and enjoying the Iblean territory: “U Dammusazzu”, Casa Bardaro, and Case Canalazzo are some of the places that will accompany us on this fourth walk. The day will conclude by arriving at the historic center of Chiaramonte, but not before passing by the ancient little church of Santa Lucia and the municipal water trough located at the entrance to the town, once used by farmers and shepherds on their way back from the surrounding countryside.

Fee: € 10.00 - Includes guide services, accident insurance, and excursion organization. For insurance purposes, we kindly ask you to send us: your full name and tax code (codice fiscale).
By choosing advance payment for all 5 stages, you will receive an official Ciaotrekking t-shirt as a gift.
The fee does not include: travel to and from the meeting point and packed lunch.

Lunch: Packed lunch
Itinerary: trail, forest track, sheep tracks, and Iblean countryside.
Travel: own car.
Difficulty: challenging.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, hiking boots, trekking poles, hat, sunscreen, sweater, flashlight, waterproof jacket, and 1.5 liters of water.
N.B. The excursion will be conducted in accordance with current Covid-19 regulations. There is a form to fill out and sign; you can send it via email or bring a hard copy before we start the excursion.
