Scala o Ciceru - Capra d'Oro - RG

Our hike starts from the historic center of Ragusa Ibla. We will cross mule tracks that lead us to the hills opposite, where we will take in the views of the landscape below and the Ragusa valleys flowing into the Irminio river. Initially, we will follow the dirt road along the San Leonardo stream until we reach the Irminio river. From there, we will take the “scala o ciciru”, once used by laborers to reach Contrada Sant’Icono and the hamlet of Frigentini. Before finishing the ascent, we will turn right and follow the ridge to Torre Bussello, passing through Capra D’Oro, and then descend towards the iron bridge to complete our loop.
Capra D’Oro is a site known for various legends and stories, such as that of the aeronaut Henri Blondeau dating back to 1890, cited in the book “L’ultimo volo di Blondeau” (Prof. G. Cultrera)

Fee: € 10,00 - Includes guide services, RCT insurance, and excursion organization.
Not included: packed lunch and fuel costs to reach the meeting point.
Meeting point: Sunday, April 25, at 09:00 AM at the Largo San Paolo parking lot in Ragusa Ibla.

Required equipment: hiking clothing, k-way (rain jacket), small backpack, hiking boots, hat, waterproof jacket, and 1.5 liters of water.
