Santa Rosalia - The Myth of the Saint and the Legend of the Tower

The places, the trails, and the people make every journey we undertake special. The chosen location is perfect for a day away from the usual city hustle and bustle. We will retrace old, nearly abandoned paths, "trazzere" (ancient mule tracks) that once divided large fields within the "Ciuse", and finally, mule tracks and forest roads. The small church of Santa Rosalia, the Torre San Filippo, and Cava Volpe are just some of the highlights of today's trek. Each step brings great emotions, awakening sweet, ancient memories. The boundaries marked by dry-stone walls and the sinuous shapes that plunge into the "cave" (canyons) offer cheerful and joyful landscapes.

Fee: € 10,00 - Includes guide service, RCT insurance, and organization.
The fee does not include: travel to and from the meeting point.
Meeting point: Sunday 28/11/2021 at 9:00 AM at Campo Boario on the Ragusa-Chiaramonte road.
End of excursion: 4:30 PM the same day.
Elevation gain/loss: approximately 200 m.
Lunch: packed.
Loop trail: approximately 5 hours of walking.
Travel: own car.
Difficulty: medium.
Highlights: Autumn with its colors and scents in the wonderful Iblei landscape.

Required equipment: winter trekking clothing, raincoat, small backpack, hiking boots, windbreaker, 1 liter of water.
