Enchanting places around Ragusa

The trail begins by descending an old 'trazzera' (traditional mule track) made of ancient stone steps, a hallmark of a different, slower-paced lifestyle. It was once a vital link between the two most important cities of the County of Modica, a testament to a time when travel was done on foot or by mule. We will idyllically reconnect with the nature right on our doorstep, discovering corners of indescribable beauty. We will reach the Irminio river, an enchanting spot where you can savor the true beauty that nature offers close to home; along the riverbank, we will encounter a treehouse and ancient mills. We will walk alongside the river for about 2 km, and once near the iron bridge, we will head back up to reach Ragusa Ibla. From there, we will climb the Carmine steps and cross the Ponte Vecchio, completing our loop back to the starting point.

Fee: € 10.00 - Includes guide services, RCT insurance, and excursion organization.
Not included: packed lunch and fuel costs to reach the meeting point.

Required equipment: trekking clothing, k-way (rain jacket), small backpack, hiking boots, hat, waterproof jacket, sweater, and 1.5 liters of water.
