Stars and the Moon - Chiaramonte Gulfi

On full moon evenings, the charm of night walks, combined with the sounds and scents of the summer season, invites a sense of healthy inner contemplation in all of us. The daytime heat gives way to a nighttime coolness, especially when you consider that much of our path will wind through the forest park. We will begin our walk from the center of Chiaramonte Gulfi, in Piazza Duomo. We will take a short stroll through the town before heading toward the outskirts, passing by the “a funtana” area. From there, our destination will be the “Pineta” (pine forest), but not before stopping at several panoramic viewpoints where we will enjoy the splendid night view over the entire Gela plain. Furthermore, “L’Uortu ro Maistru” and the “Cavulaficu” spring will be essential stops for moments of inner reflection. We will conclude our night walk by returning to the center of Chiaramonte, perhaps sharing a good gelato or a refreshing granita (semi-frozen dessert) together.

Fee: € 10.00 - Includes guide service, RCT insurance, and organization.
Expenses do not include: travel to and from the meeting point.
Dinner: packed lunch
Meeting point: Saturday at 7:30 PM at Chiaramonte Gulfi, Piazza Duomo.
End of excursion: 11:30 PM at the same starting location.
Highlight: An ideal place to admire the starry sky on clear summer nights.
Loop trail: 4 hours of walking – on and off-trail paths.

Required equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, k-way, hiking boots, waterproof jacket, sweater, flashlight, 2 liters of water.
