Summer Solstice Among the Olive Trees - Tenuta Chiaramonte (RG)

An oasis of relaxation in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. Nestled in the Ragusa countryside, this is a haven of peace and tranquility, offering a splendid view over the landscape and the Iblei coast. A dream transformed into an estate that carries the legacy of an unforgettable tradition into the present and, undoubtedly, into the future. It is a passion for the land and its fruits, cultivated with absolute respect for our environment. The estate encompasses olive oil production, the "Relais Chiaramonte" hotel, and the "Gramole" restaurant, combining a love for nature, the beauty of the surrounding territory, and the goodness of our wonderful land's products. In line with our philosophy of exploring and seeking out the beauty of our own territory, we immediately and enthusiastically accepted the invitation to map out trails within the estate. We are inaugurating the path developed by Salvo, Saro, and Giovanni with our first trekking event: "The Summer Solstice." It is a pleasant and scenic walking route among the olive trees. Along the trail, we will encounter much of the Mediterranean scrub flora, particularly ancient trees like the carob. We will walk along a historic "regia trazzera" (ancient royal path) bordered by dry-stone walls. We will conclude our walk by arriving at the restaurant to enjoy a hearty aperitif at dusk, featuring the estate's own olive oil.

Fee: € 25.00, including guide services, RCT insurance, excursion organization, and an apericena (aperitif-dinner) at the "Tenuta Chiaramonte" estate.
Expenses not included: fuel costs for travel.

Loop route: approximately 5 hours of walking, including the apericena – dirt track, marked trail.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, k-way, hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, flashlight, and 1.5 liters of water.
