Cava del Prainito (SR)

Cava del Prainito is a concentration of beauty: landscape, natural, geological, and archaeological. Located just a few kilometers from Rosolini, this canyon takes its name from the river that flows through it. Today's hike, a charming and easily accessible loop, will take us to places where nature, within its lush flora, holds fragments of life dating back to the "Early Bronze Age." Caves, an old water mill, and "crystal-clear" pools will accompany us throughout the day.

Fee: € 10,00 – Includes guide services, RCT insurance, and excursion organization.

Travel: own car
Difficulty: moderate.
Loop trail: 6 hours of walking including breaks – royal sheep tracks (regie trazzere), mule tracks, fords, marked and unmarked paths.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, rain poncho (k-way), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, sweater, 1.5 liters of water.
