San Marco by Night - Chiaramonte Gulfi

On full moon nights, the nocturnal walks, sounds, and scents of September stir a sense of healthy inner contemplation in all of us. We will enjoy all the perfect ingredients for the allure of night trekking: the typically crisp air of the season, being immersed in the characteristic Iblei woods, the glow of the full moon guiding our path, and the magic of trekking under the stars.
We will begin our walk from the center of Chiaramonte Gulfi, Piazza Duomo. We will take a short stroll through the town before heading to the outskirts, passing through the “u furriere” area. We will continue toward our next destination, the “Pineta” (pine forest), crossing several panoramic spots where we will enjoy a splendid night view over the entire Gela plain. Furthermore, the San Marco houses will be the destination for our break/dinner, with mandatory stops at landscapes that naturally lend themselves to moments of inner reflection. We will conclude our night walk, after completing a loop route, by returning to the center of Chiaramonte Gulfi.

Fee: € 10.00 - Includes guide service, RCT insurance, and organization.
The fee does not include: travel to and from the meeting point.
Meeting point: Saturday 14/09/2019 - 7:00 PM at Chiaramonte Gulfi, Piazza Duomo.
End of excursion: 11:45 PM at the same starting location.
Highlight: an ideal place to admire the starry sky.

Loop route: 4 hours of walking – marked and unmarked trails.
