Monte Della Ganziria

In true Ciaotrekking style, today we will discover a place steeped in history and nature. By choosing Monte della Ganziria, a mountainous area located in the southernmost part of the Monti Erei, we will find ourselves immersed in a natural forest and a site of significant naturalistic interest. This mountain features a varied morphology and is home to numerous plant formations. We will reach the highest point at around 790 meters. The summit acts as a balcony overlooking the town of the same name: San Michele di Ganzaria. The hike, a circular loop, will begin in the town center and conclude at one of its most historic landmarks: the Castello Principi Gravina. Unfortunately, only ruins remain today, but the site still retains all the charm of its centuries-old history. It is the perfect place to wrap up a wonderful day. Finally, after enjoying the scenery, we will walk through a short stretch of the town that will lead us back to our starting point.

The fee does not include: travel to and from the meeting point.
Meeting point: Sunday 17/02/2019 at 08:00 AM at the Lukoil Bar/Gas Station, C.da Coffa, Chiaramonte Gulfi – 2nd meeting point at 09:00 AM at Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, San Michele di Ganzaria.
End of excursion: Sunday 17/02/2019 at 16:30.
