We will set off through the forest park, following trails and ancient mule tracks, crossing the rolling hills that show off their finest colors this season: the vibrant green of the grazing pastures. This area holds great historical and economic significance for the local community of Monterosso Almo. Along our route, we will find panoramic viewpoints where we can stop to admire the entire Gela plain and the nearby Erei mountains. We will enjoy a lunch featuring local Iblei products at the “Case della Passione” mountain hut. After our break, we will head back through the woods. A lush forest track, which fortunately escaped the fires of previous summers, will lead us back to our starting point, bringing this wonderful day to a close.

Fee: € 16.00, includes guide service, RCT insurance, and lunch with local products at the Rifugio Case della C/da Passione.
Not included: fuel costs for travel.
Meeting point: 09:00 AM at the Lukoil gas station, S.S. 514 Ragusa/Catania, Contrada Coffa, Chiaramonte Gulfi.
End of excursion: 06:00 PM at Contrada Passione, Monterosso Almo.

Route: approx. 6 hours of walking including lunch – Forest track, mule track, marked and unmarked trails.
Required equipment: winter trekking clothing, small backpack, k-way (rain jacket), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, 1.5 liters of water.
