Exploring the Island of Elba is our proposal for Easter 2018. The largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago, located between Corsica and Tuscany in the northern Tyrrhenian Sea, will be our destination. An enchanting earthly paradise where sea, nature, history, and flavor meet to create a whirlwind of colors and emotions.
The charm of its high, rocky coasts, with significant peaks like Monte Capanne (1019m), makes it a geologically complex island, composed of both vast granite masses and limestone rocks. Beyond being a major tourist destination, the Island of Elba represents an important historical site thanks to Napoleon's exile. Napoleon spent his nine months of exile here after abdicating as Emperor of France. We can find traces of him all over the island, starting from his residences, churches, and sanctuaries. The island seems perfect to be enjoyed at its best off-season, and even more so through its hiking trails.

Fee: € 160,00 - Includes guide service, Global Assistance (Travel care) insurance, and excursion organization.
Other expenses: € 260,00. Includes: hotel accommodation in double and triple rooms, dinners and breakfasts from the evening of the first day until the morning of the last, and packed lunches every day except Thursday, March 29th.
Costs do not include: air/train travel expenses, personal or rental car, round-trip ferry, and unspecified extra expenses.
Deposit: € 160,00 at the time of booking.
Balance: € 260,00 - Do not send; please bring it with you and pay on-site.
Meeting point: Thursday, March 29th, meeting at 1:00 PM at the Port of Piombino in the parking lot in front of the Moby Lines/Torremare ticket office. The exact departure time of the ferry to Portoferraio is to be confirmed, pending the final 2018 schedules.
End of trip: Tuesday, April 3rd at 4:30 PM, Port of Piombino.

Travel to reach the Island of Elba: personal or rental car, plane, and ferry.
Excursions: based in one location with a light daypack.
Difficulty: challenging.

Required equipment: trekking clothing, daypack, raincoat, hiking boots, fleece, waterproof jacket, water bottle, swimsuit, and personal toiletries.
