A witness to tradition: Vito Catania is the guardian of his family's winemaking and olive oil heritage, having developed and expanded the existing land assets while introducing innovative working criteria. The estate is the result of work that began in 1996 with the invaluable collaboration of Salvo Foti. Today, it spans approximately 70 hectares of vineyards across the finest territories of Eastern Sicilia.
This Ciaotrekking day combines a connection with nature with another fascinating aspect: excellent Sicilian cuisine, especially when paired with a fine wine from Cantina Gulfi. Our journey begins at the church of Santa Lucia, near Chiaramonte Gulfi, amidst enchanting landscapes and panoramas, following old royal paths and mule tracks that were once transit routes from the heights of the Iblei (approximately 900 meters) down to the plains below, leading us to the winery.

Meeting point: Sunday at 09:00 AM – Santa Lucia Church - Chiaramonte Gulfi.
End of hike: 05:00 PM, Cantina Gulfi.
Stage details: walking time: 4.5 hours - Plus approximately 2 hours for lunch and a visit to the winery.
Difficulty: moderate.
Lunch: Ristorante Cantina Gulfi.
Equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, rain jacket (k-way), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, sweater, 1.5 liters of water.
Route: mule track, royal path, marked and unmarked trails.
