Trekking in Malta - Gozo - Comino

In the heart of the Mediterranean lies the Republic of Malta, a world apart, suspended between Europe and Africa. Here, island traditions are enriched by past British, Sicilian, and Arab influences, where Catholic churches stand out against the island's skyline alongside the impressive fortifications built by the Knights of Malta. We will enjoy daily excursions on the two smaller islands, Gozo and Comino. On the final day, we will visit the evocative Mdina, the ancient capital, and Valletta, the current capital of Malta and a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its beautiful St. John's Co-Cathedral.

Fee: € 125,00 - Includes guide service, insurance, and trip organization.
Other expenses: € 190,00. Includes: Hotel accommodation in double and triple rooms, dinners and breakfasts from the evening of the first day until the morning of the last.
Costs do not include: round-trip airfare to the meeting point, packed lunches for all days, boat and ferry transfers from Cirkewwa/Comino/Gozo, and public or private bus transfers in Gozo and Malta.

Meeting point: For those departing from Catania, we will meet at the airport on Thursday, January 05th at 06:00 AM. For those arriving from other destinations, we will meet at Malta airport at 09:00 AM.
End of trip: Sunday, January 08th, around 06:00 PM at Malta airport.
Trip style: Stationary base with a light daypack.
Difficulty: Easy.
Daily walking hours: 4 to 6 hours.
Meals: Dinners and breakfasts at restaurants.
Highlights: Blue Lagoon of Comino, the Azure Window, the sheer cliffs of Ta Cenc, the ancient salt pans of Qbaijar, Mdina, and Valletta.
Required equipment: Trekking clothing, hiking boots, trekking poles, shower sandals, rain poncho (k-way), sweater, waterproof jacket, water bottle, and personal toiletries.
Duration: 4 days / 3 nights.

Notes: From the 05th to the 07th, during our stay in Gozo, we can visit Victoria, the Ta' Pinu sanctuary, and the Church of St. John the Baptist in Xewkija.
