Steps Under the Moon at Casasia - RG

Summer evenings are the perfect time to begin journeys filled with unique flavors, colors, and scents, all in the company of a full moon. Nighttime steps have a different sound, one that guides the mind toward moments of inner contemplation. At 730 meters above sea level, Monte Casasia will be our natural balcony, a place to look out and admire the entire plain of Gela and the nearby Erei mountains. A place of a thousand discoveries, it has served as an outpost for territorial control since the earliest dominations in Sicilia, and today it still preserves its enchanting Ibleo natural charm. We will have the opportunity to observe up close the evidence of human presence dating back to the early Iron Age. It is the ideal spot to admire the sky on serene summer nights.

Fee: € 15.00 (includes guide services, insurance, organization, and dinner featuring local Ibleo specialties)
Meeting point: Saturday at 7:00 PM, Bar Pentagono in Contrada Pezze, Chiaramonte Gulfi.
End of excursion: 11:30 PM at the same starting point.
Dinner: Option to enjoy local Ibleo specialties.
Travel: Own car
Difficulty: Easy.
Loop trail: 4 hours of walking – on and off-trail paths.
Required equipment: Trekking clothing, small backpack, rain poncho, hiking boots, waterproof jacket, sweater, flashlight, 1.5 liters of water.
