Iceland - Perfect Landscapes

A journey through the surprising and breathtaking landscapes of Iceland: volcanoes, geysers, cliffs, and rushing rivers flowing toward the sea across lush green plains. This is the raw, powerful nature of Iceland that we are going to discover. Our classic itinerary allows us to complete the entire circuit of the island, including the enchanting Westfjords region, with easy treks that we will undertake to fully appreciate some of the areas we visit. A dip in the thermal pools is a must, including some of the lesser-known ones, which we will access while respecting local customs and traditions. We have also planned a foray into the central highlands to experience the vastness of these wind-swept spaces. In total, we will travel over 3000 kilometers by minibus, with long stretches on well-maintained dirt roads. Our "discovery Iceland" will be an immersion into a nature that leaves you stunned, sometimes even dazed by the absolute beauty it expresses. In recent years, Iceland has enjoyed global tourism success, which, so far, has not compromised its delicate environmental balance.

Logistics: given the limited number of accommodations (we will mostly use the hostel network), it is necessary to book well in advance. We plan to use double and triple rooms, and only in the absence of other availability, small dormitories. Generally, these are pleasant and well-maintained facilities, frequented by travelers of all ages, which also offer fully equipped kitchens. Considering the price level is significantly higher than the European average, we will bring many food supplies from Italy and prepare them in the chosen accommodations. We will therefore ask all participants to lend a hand to ensure the success of our culinary efforts, turning it into a fun moment of sharing and joy. Traveling in Iceland in July means having endless days at your disposal, during which the light never truly disappears. It is also the time when the flowers are in their full splendor against the black volcanic rocks. The following quote is based on the prices at the time of this trip's launch; some adjustments will be made on-site based on what we spend on groceries, but in any case, we do not foresee significant changes to the costs provided here based on our previous experiences.

Fee: € 300.00 - Includes guide service, liability insurance (RCT), and excursion organization.
Other expenses: € 2200.00. Includes, a common fund among participants for purchasing food in Italy and partial supplementation in Iceland for the preparation of breakfasts and dinners for the entire trip € 350.00. Overnight stays in double and triple rooms with shared facilities for 14 nights (subject to availability in some facilities, in which case we will use some dormitories); 4X4 minibus rental and fuel € 1850.
Costs do not include: round-trip travel to reach the meeting point, daily packed lunches, and personal expenses.
Deposit: € 700.00 at the time of registration for booking accommodations and minibus rental.
Balance: € 1800.00 by June 20, 2017.
INSURANCE and CONDITIONS: In addition to the liability insurance (RCT), medical assistance is covered by your health insurance card. Our trip participants have the option to take out trip cancellation insurance. Anyone interested in this coverage must indicate it by sending a written notice at the time of registration.
Optional: trip cancellation insurance at the participants' expense.
The flight ticket, to reach the meeting point and for the return, is purchased directly by the participants. Flight routes and times for purchasing tickets will be communicated after the deposit required at the time of registration for the trip.
Round-trip flight price: currently, the ticket cost varies from 400.00 to 500.00 Euros; naturally, the price may vary depending on the city of departure.

Meeting point: Sunday, July 02 at 01:00 AM at Keflavik Airport, (Iceland).
End of trip: Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 PM at Keflavik Airport, (Iceland).
Nights: we will sleep in hostels and guest houses.
Highlights: thermal waters, icebergs, volcanoes, geysers, waterfalls, pristine nature and surprising landscapes, glaciers.
Trip: itinerant/with easy walks during the tour.
