Wild Herbs of the Iblei

An excursion featuring a practical field lesson on identifying wild herbs, led by Paolino Uccello. This Sunday outing marks the conclusion of the “ERBE E FUNGHI DELLA SICILIA” course held in the territory of Canicattini Bagni. At the end of the hike, we will visit either the Museo Civico Tempo: dei Sensi, dell’Emigrante e della Medicina Popolare or the medicinal plant farm owned by Dr. Alfredo Uccello.

Fee: € 10.00 (Only for participants not enrolled in the course) – Includes guide service, organization, and RCT insurance.
Meeting point: Sunday at 08:30 AM - Campo Boario, S.P.10 Ragusa/Chiaramonte Gulfi, or at 09:30 AM directly in Canicattini Bagni, at the beginning of Via Vittorio Emanuele III, ERG gas station.
End of excursion: 05:00 PM, Canicattini Bagni.
Route details: walking time: 3 hours - Approximately 3 additional hours for visits and packed lunch.
Difficulty: easy.
Lunch: packed.
Equipment: trekking clothing, small backpack, k-way (rain jacket), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, sweater, 1.5 liters of water.
Path: mule track, royal sheep track (regia trazzera), marked and unmarked trails.
