Wandering Path in the Iblei - Stage 3 - Licodia Eubea - Vizzini

With the steady pace of happy hikers and the desire to keep moving forward, we have reached the 3rd stage….
“The idea behind this path, which unites these mountain towns of the Iblei, was born from the realization that while they may seem far apart, they are so close in history, culture, traditions, and folklore….”
The third stage of this rich journey restarts from the province of Catania, beginning exactly where we left off: Licodia Eubea. Today’s walk is marked by an ancient tradition, but with a new twist for this path: a morning breakfast featuring warm ricotta and local tastings.
We will set off immediately afterward for Vizzini, a town wonderful for its small glimpses of culture and marvelous artistic passages. Along today’s walk, we will traverse an old regia trazzera (royal sheep track) that once connected these two mountain towns, and we will pass through a magical, enchanted place before reaching our destination: “A Cunziria”….
For this travel experience, each participant will receive a small booklet to collect a stamp from each arrival town—a little token to encourage you on your magical “wandering path in the Iblei”.
Upon arrival at each stage, we will always have a little surprise for you to enjoy all together.

Fee: € 15,00 - Guide service, ricotta breakfast, organization, and RCT insurance.
Meeting point: Sunday at 09:00, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II – Licodia Eubea.
End of excursion: 17:00, Vizzini.
Stage characteristics: walking time: 5 hours - elevation gain 200 m uphill, 220 m downhill.
Difficulty: easy, approx. 10 km
Lunch/Breakfast: warm ricotta and other snacks.
Equipment: required: trekking clothing, small backpack, k-way (rain jacket), hiking boots, waterproof jacket, hat, sweater, 1.5 liters of water.
Route: Forest track, mule track, regia trazzera, marked and unmarked paths.
