A weekend to be experienced in an original and immersive way, blending excursions with local knowledge and flavors. Our “Memory Workshops” will allow you to learn ancient crafts and, by taking you back in time, rediscover the local culture and traditions. It’s a chance to experience the Nebrodi up close, along with the simplicity and warm hospitality of those who love their land.

Fee: € 40.00 – Includes guide service, insurance, and organization.
Other expenses: € 130.00 - Includes: two nights in a B&B, two dinners (one in a restaurant and one itinerant), two lunches, two breakfasts at the bar, a visit to a Suino Nero dei Nebrodi (Black Nebrodi Pig) farm with tasting, a guided tour of the Monastero di Fragalà, a guided tour of the historic center of Longi, the La Petagna Naturalistic Center, a hand-weaving loom, an ancient stone mill, and products from the workshops.
Costs do not include: fuel expenses for travel to and from the meeting point and any extra expenses not specified.
Deposit: € 50.00 at the time of booking.
Children under 12 receive a 50% discount.
Meeting point: Friday, October 21, at 3:30 PM, at the Rocca di Capri Leone exit of the A20 ME/PA motorway.
End of excursion: Sunday, October 23, at 4:30 PM in Longi (ME).
Travel: own car.
Difficulty: easy.
Required equipment: trekking clothing, backpack, hiking boots, hat, waterproof jacket, sweater, 1.5 liters of water, and personal toiletries.
Maximum number of participants: 20
Booking deadline: October 14, 2016.
The weekend will be organized with the participation fees and activities indicated above only upon reaching a minimum of 10 participants.
For smaller groups, an additional fee may be required, or minor changes to the program may be made.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21

4:00 PM Visit to the Monastero di Fragalà
7:00 PM Check-in at B&B
8:30 PM Dinner at a restaurant

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22

8:30 AM Breakfast at the bar
9:00 AM Excursion to the Cascata del Catafurco via a new scenic loop trail; before departing, visit and tasting at a Suino Nero dei Nebrodi farm in the municipality of Galati Mamertino.
1:30 PM Lunch with the shepherds featuring local products
5:30 PM Return to B&B and relax
7:30 PM Guided tours of the historic center of Longi, the La Petagna Naturalistic Center, the hand-weaving loom, and the ancient stone mill, followed by an Itinerant Dinner
11:00 PM Overnight stay.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23

Breakfast and a full morning dedicated to various workshops (bread-making, weaving, sewing, pasta-making). N.B. - The memory workshop you wish to attend should preferably be chosen at the time of booking for organizational reasons. The workshops have a LIMITED NUMBER of participants.
1:00 PM Lunch, prepared with the help of the participants themselves, using some of the products made in the workshops.
3:00 PM Distribution of some workshop products to the participants and farewells.
