New Year's in Pantelleria - The Black Pearl of the Mediterranean

Our New Year's island will be the stunning Pantelleria, the "Daughter of the Wind." It is an island where every walk is a spectacle, featuring paths that wind through mountains and along the coast. You will be amazed by the scenery, with active fumaroles, saunas in natural caves, and dips in warm sea waters. We will stay in Bugeber, a classic Pantesco village with a panoramic view of the Lago di Venere.

Fee: € 115.00 - Includes guide service, insurance, and trip organization.
Other expenses: € 335.00. Includes: accommodation in local Dammusi and apartments with double and triple rooms, dinners and breakfasts from the evening of the first day until the morning of the last, packed lunches for every day, New Year's Eve dinner with music, minibus transfers in Pantelleria including airport arrival and departure, and a winery visit with tasting.
Costs do not include: round-trip airfare to reach the meeting point and any unspecified extra expenses.
Deposit: € 150.00 at the time of booking to confirm the trip.
Balance: € 300.00 - Do not send; please bring it with you and pay on-site.

Meeting point: Tuesday, December 27th, 2016. For those arriving directly in Pantelleria, at 6:00 PM at the airport – From Trapani, at 7:45 PM at the same location.
End of trip: Sunday, January 1st, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Pantelleria Airport.

Itinerary

Tuesday, December 27th. Late afternoon arrival at Pantelleria airport. Minibus transfer to Bugeber, check-in at our accommodations (local Dammusi and apartments). Dinner and overnight stay.

Wednesday, December 28th. Hike from Bugeber to Sibà, then towards the Grotta di Benikulà (where we will enjoy a sauna), followed by the Favare, arriving at Rekhale, where minibuses will pick us up to take us back to Bugeber. Dinner and overnight stay.

Thursday, December 29th. Hike from Bugeber to Montagna Grande, the highest peak on the island (836 m). Packed lunch along the way, with a return to Bugeber in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.

Friday, December 30th. Short hike, winery visit with tasting of local products, hot springs at Gadir, and a visit to the Arco dell'Elefante. Minibus transfers throughout the day.

Saturday, December 31st. Hike from Bugeber to Caletta Cantone, Punta Spadillo, the Volcanological Museum, Laghetto delle Ondine, and the Lago di Venere (where we will bathe in the warm waters), then return to Bugeber. New Year's Eve dinner and music.

Sunday, January 1st. In the morning, we will head into town for a few hours, then split into 2 groups for departures to the airports of Palermo and Trapani, etc. Minibus transfers provided until airport departure.
