Urban Walks - Buscemi (SR)

A small village in the province of Siracusa, tucked away in the Iblei mountains, where the urban layout and social life remain intact, still looking towards the past. It boasts beautiful Baroque churches with original facades, the work of local craftsmen who adapted the local stone to the landscape and the Mediterranean light. Equally interesting are the humble dwellings of the common people, as well as the hypogea and cave dwellings adapted into places of worship, work, and homes for the poorest. We will visit some of them.
The human landscape alone is worth the excursion.

Fee: € 10.00 (includes guide services, insurance, and organization)
Not included: fuel costs for travel.
Meeting point: Saturday at 5:00 PM in Piazza Roma, Buscemi.
End of walk: 8:00 PM at the same starting point
Travel: own car
Difficulty: easy
Loop route: approx. 3 hours of walking – Urban route.
Notes: for those wishing to stay overnight on Saturday ahead of the excursion on Sunday the 6th, please call 5 days in advance so we can recommend a B&B we trust.
