A Nuvena di Lonci

December 17-18, 2016:
Christmas colors and flavors, along with a unique and special tradition, awaken ancient memories for us to relive and discover! Just like in times gone by, every night for nine nights, the local youth of the “Nuvena” bring the streets of this small village to life with Christmas carols and music.

PARTICIPATION FEE FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND: € 60.00
Children under 12 receive a 50% discount.

- 1 guided tour of the historic center of Longi, the La Petagna Naturalistic Center, the Ancient Stone Mill, and the hand-weaving loom, offered by the La Stretta Association.
All the following and additional services, also included in the fee, are managed and provided by other partners:
- 1 overnight stay in a B&B
- 1 breakfast at the café
- 1 dinner around a bonfire in one of the village's characteristic neighborhoods
NOT INCLUDED IN THE PARTICIPATION FEE:
- Car transfers and anything not explicitly mentioned above

PROGRAM

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17
3:30 PM Visit to the Abbazia di Fragalà
Until 6:00 PM: Arrival and check-in at the B&B
6:30 PM: Guided tour of the La Petagna Naturalistic Center, the Ancient Stone Mill, and the hand-weaving loom, followed by dinner around one of the traditional bonfires in the village's characteristic neighborhoods. At midnight, we will follow the “Nuvena” youth, who fill the streets of our small village with their Christmas carols for nine nights.
Overnight stay in a B&B.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18
9:00 AM: Breakfast at the café
9:30 AM: Hike to the Rocche del Crasto via a new and alternative route
Packed lunch provided by participants.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITIES (HIKE OR DINNER AROUND THE BONFIRE) WITHOUT JOINING THE ENTIRE WEEKEND.
The weekend will be organized at the fees indicated above only upon reaching a minimum of 8 participants.
For smaller groups (minimum of 6 people), an additional fee may be required, or minor program adjustments may be made.
